In this event, we'll go on a journey into the dark side of the Universe, the speakers will guide us in the most mysterious areas of physics and we'll discover what we know and what we still don't about Dark Matter, Dark Energy and the evolution of the Universe!

What do we know so far about dark matter?

Dark matter is one of the great unknowns of physics today. The astrophysical evidence is very strong when it comes to this invisible component of the universe. Multiple efforts by the scientific community to describe the nature of dark matter have been carried out theoretically and experimentally. Let's take a look at what we have so far been able to decipher about dark matter.

The dark side of the universe

Dr. Kibrom Sibhatu (Postdoc, University of Göttingen)

More than 90% of the energy density of the Universe is in unknown forms, like Dark Matter and Dark Energy. We will discuss possible candidates to explain those energy densities and ways to detect them.
