Join us in learning how researchers are finding new ways to predict the development and severity of diseases, from COVID to cancer.

Can we predict COVID-19 symptoms and severity already at the day of positive SARS-CoV-2 test?

Avidan Neumann (researcher)
“I just got my SARS-CoV-2 test result and I am positive. I am 60 years old and a little overweight. Damn, I would really like to know what is the chance that it will be severe...”. Wouldn’t you? Well, you can. We have discovered biomarker combinations, using blood cytokine levels, that can accurately predict both the risk of COVID-19 related hospitalization and the symptoms’ severity.

“And what if I got any other of the viruses or bacteria causing respiratory disease?” We will discuss our current results and future planned studies to answer these questions.

The incredible link between cancer genes and the co-existence of cells

Rushin Gindra (researcher)
All the cancer research follows one of two approaches: genomic analysis, studying the 20,000+ gene changes in cancer cells, and tissue image analysis, looking at the structural pattern of cells. Surprisingly, these fields are not so different from one another! Gather around to know about this incredible link, about what exactly happens in our bodies every millisecond, and how these cell “soldiers” are fighting off cancer and other diseases daily, so that you can have a pint in peace!
